Spring into Spring
October 2013
Hi!
The Spring (and almost daylight saving) newsletter is action packed! I hope everyone has been well and that you are all enjoying the warm weather. This months newsletter has loads of interesting articles to share and some great recipes too!
Immediate vs Delayed Cord Clamping
I have many clients asking about the concept of delayed cord clamping which has been mentioned to them by their doctors or midwives. This article is a very interesting read about this topic.
Probiotics & the Athlete
Are probiotics useful to improve athletic performance? This article discusses the function and benefits ofprobiotics.
Kids, Sport and Chiropractic
We often wonder why we develop the aches and pains we have later in life. Most of the time they relate tochildhood injuries. I wrote a few ideas on the importance of picking up on these injuries as child and why children are more susceptible to injury
Recipes
I have decided this month to stick with my favourite chef Yotam Ottolenghi's recipes. He cooks with very traditional middle eastern flavours.
I have already made this chilled red capsicum soup. It was absolutely delicious and I now plan on making everything else on his website.
In & Around Petersham
Flood Street Carousel is definitely not new but it took me this long to find it sadly. I've now been going there for their sandwiches which are really lovely! It is also family friendly.
The Pig and Pastry Cafe opened a few months ago around the corner. I haven't yet been but I have heard good things so far. Check it out and let me know what you think!
Dr. Graeme Massager & Heat Packs
The Dr. Graeme Massagers and Heat Packs flew off the shelf in record time! I have 2 heat packs left but no Dr Graeme Massagers...I am happy to place another order if there is still interest. Additionally, I have 1 latex contoured pillow available and am happy to order more or memory foam if required.
Facebook
Please follow us on facebook! We're super fun!
As mentioned in the previous emails, I would love to hear your feedback on what information you would like to know more about or if you have any healthy (or not so healthy) recipes to share.
Lastly, I am always happy to get involved with local community organisations, schools and events. If you have any fundraisers, sporting events or school fetes coming up, feel free to leave some flyers/posters/raffle boxes with me. In addition, I am happy to donate vouchers as prizes to assist local organisations and schools.
Have a great week and enjoy the warmth!! (finally!)
Amy
